Counseling & Support Groups
In addition to the services above, Saint Clare’s also provides patients and their families with critical emotional support and educational resources through the guidance of nurse navigators, oncology specialists who are there every step of the way through patients’ treatment programs – from diagnosis to follow-up care. Saint Clare’s Cancer Care program currently offers nurse navigators who specialize in breast cancer and thyroid cancer.
Palliative Care Services
Saint Clare’s Hospital offers Palliative Care Services made up of a multidisciplinary team including Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist, Spiritual Care, Pharmacy, Pain Management, Nutritionists, Case Management, Social Workers, Complimentary Medicine, Ethics and other specialties as needed. Palliative care is specialized medical care for people with serious illnesses. Palliative Care Services are offered in conjunction with your primary doctors. It focuses on providing patients with relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness. The goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family.
