Regional Diabetes Center
Saint Clare’s Regional Diabetes Center is an American Diabetes Association recognized program which provides inpatient and outpatient care – as well as comprehensive diabetes and nutrition education, support groups, and community outreach – all under one roof.
Whether you have been recently diagnosed or have been living with diabetes for years, The Regional Diabetes Center (RDC) helps you manage your changing needs, understand new trends, and create a personalized plan to fit your lifestyle. Our focus is on assisting patients with diabetes to improve their knowledge and skills in order to effectively manage their condition.
The RDC serves adults and adolescents with diabetes that need enhanced knowledge and skills, while offering a host of educational and support programs for people with diabetes, their families, and those who want to know more.
The RDC offers a comprehensive inpatient diabetes program, extensive outpatient services – including Diabetes Self-Management Training and Medical Nutrition Therapy – and wellness programs focused on bringing diabetes education and awareness to the forefront in corporate, professional and academic associations.
Certified diabetes educators provide group and individual education on diabetes management, including day and evening classes on meal planning, weight management, exercise, medications, blood glucose monitoring, and how to handle complications.
Our Team
Our program is based on a collaborative process and is interactive and ongoing. Our staff of certified diabetes educators, along with your physician, are members of your diabetes care team, and we will work together with you to develop your diabetes management plan.

The Regional Diabetes Center offers ongoing support groups at the Regional Diabetes Center at Saint Clare’s Hospital/Dover General and through Saint Clare's Health Center at Sussex. These include:
