A heart attack, a stroke, a car accident or a child with a spiking fever in the middle of the night … any time critical health care is needed, but not anticipated, it can be overwhelming and often frightening. Fortunately, for the Northwest New Jersey region, Saint Clare’s Health System is on call with emergency medical services 24 hours a day, seven days a week at our hospitals in Denville and Dover, as well as Saint Clare's Health Center at Sussex.
With more than 80,000 patients a year currently being seen in the emergency departments at our hospitals, and with an additional 25,000 patients receiving emergency services throughout the region with our Mobile Intensive Care Units, the need for expansion is imperative. Your donation can help Saint Clare’s as it reconfigures these emergency services with improvements that include an upgraded waiting room for families, as well as a private bereavement/family/consultation room, X-ray rooms, a triage room, and an expanded psychiatric emergency space.
Your support will also help us maintain the level of excellence and technological sophistication that Saint Clare’s has achieved in pre-hospital emergency care services and transport. On an annual basis, new computer and medical equipment – radios, ventilators, balloon pumps, and defibrillators – must be repaired or replaced, and EMS personnel must undertake additional training to maintain or achieve certification in the latest emergency medical care procedures and technologies. And because of the wear and tear on emergency vehicles, maintenance and repair costs for Saint Clare’s fleet of ambulances is significant. Your donation can assist Saint Clare’s in sustaining the advanced level of care that is vital to patients treated through our EMS and transport services.
