Through the generosity of regional corporations and foundations, donors, friends and employees of Saint Clare's Health System, more than $8.5 million dollars of the $11 million cost of The Katena Center for Mother and Child has been raised to date, including an extraordinary gift of $5 million from Kate M. Tiedemann, a member of the Saint Clare's Foundation Board of Trustees.
It is heartening to know that our new birthplace has been funded almost entirely by support from our community. Better yet, the community can still play a vital role. For gifts of $1,000 or more to Saint Clare's Foundation, you can share the joy of baby's arrival with a solid wood replica of a child's "baby block."
Individually hand-made, the block (available in a choice of four colors) will be personalized with your name as well as the name and birth date of your child, grandchild, niece or nephew. The blocks can also be inscribed in honor or in memory of a loved one should you so choose. The colorful Saint Clare's Baby Block will be prominently displayed on an impressive, handmade wooden bookshelf in the new Center a focal point for new families and visitors as well.
The Katena Center for Mother and Child also accepts donations in any amount. Your continued support and generosity will allow the Center to reach its $11 million goal and ensure that Saint Clare's can provide the region with the highest levels of care for mothers, newborns, and the entire family.
