How can I apply for a position at SCHS?
Applying for a position can be done only through our online application.

Can I check on the status of my application?
We review all submitted online applications; but because we receive such a large volume, it is difficult to respond to every one. If one of our recruiters or hiring managers determines your qualifications could match our needs, we will email or phone you to arrange a formal interview.

How many positions may I apply for?
Though there are no restrictions on the number of positions you may apply for, we do ask that you keep your focus on the positions that most interest you and matches your qualifications.

Can I speak to a recruiter or setup an interview?
Recruiters are continuously screening and interviewing candidates at all of Saint Clare’s campus locations. Appointments, interviews and conversations can only be initiated by a recruiter after the review of an application has been completed and it has been established that an individual is a strong candidate for the desired position.

How do I know if my application was submitted?
When you complete your online application, a confirmation page will appear on the screen, verifying that your application was submitted and received successfully.

How long will my application be held on file?
Each application is held on file for a period no less than one year from the date it was submitted.

What can I do to better my chances of being interviewed by a recruiter?
Having a professional resume with all the information that is relevant to the job you're applying for will help you stand out as a strong candidate. Submitting multiple applications within a short time period will only slow down the process.

I have a relative/friend that works at SCHS; can I reference him/her?
You can reference a relative/friend that is currently employed or affiliated with Saint Clare’s Health System or Catholic Health Initiatives in the questionnaire portion of the online application.

I don't meet the exact requirements of the job I'm interested in, can I still apply for it?
Yes. If you do not meet the specific requirements for a job but are able to provide evidence of relative or equivalent experience for the position, we encourage you to still apply.

I don't see the position I'm interested in on the posting list, can I still apply for it?
Our online process allows candidates to submit applications and resumes for future job opportunities as well as current ones.

Can I email or fax over my resume?
No. The online application is the only way to apply for a position at SCHS. We no longer accept faxed or hand-delivered resumes or previously used pre-screening forms.

How often is the posting list updated?
We keep our online postings updated as frequently as possible, most often on a daily basis. Because we also post open positions on various career websites, it may take a day or two for positions to show up or be removed as quickly or slowly as our website. For the most up to date and accurate information and postings, always refer to the SCHS website.

I'm interested in a position but I'm curious as to what the salary range is, how can I inquire before applying?
We do not discuss salary information over the phone/email/fax or any other media format. Salary information can only be discussed during an actual in-person interview.

Do you have any internship/externship programs at SCHS?
The Department of Nursing currently offers an unpaid Nurse Residency Program for BSN graduates. The programs are conducted three times per year. Applications can be submitted for the program throughout the year. In order to be considered, applicants are required to be graduates of a BSN program, and must submit a resume to our Nurse Recruiter at this email address: TaraDemiceli@saintclares.org
