Saint Clare's 35th Annual Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing June 13; Online Reg is Now Open

June 13 Event Benefits Saint Clare’s Hospital/Sussex,
Honors Eric Neilson with Annual Jack Rizzo Leadership Award

DENVILLE, NJ – April 23, 2012 – In just a few short weeks, donors, corporate sponsors and supporters of Saint Clare’s Health System and Saint Clare’s Foundation will gather for the 35th annual Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing at Skyview Golf Club in Sparta, NJ.  The event, sponsored by the Nielsen Automotive Group and the Northeast Business Center of Chrysler Corporation, is a fun-filled day of golf Saint Clare’s programs and services to benefit the Sussex community.

Registration for corporate sponsorships and individual golfer participation is now available online for this all-day event, which will be held on June 13. The day’s activities will feature a registration brunch at 10 a.m., a tournament schamble start at 12 noon with on the course refreshments, a cocktail reception at 5 p.m., and dinner and awards ceremony beginning at 6 p.m. Presentations for men’s and women’s low gross and low net, longest drive, closest to the pin and a putting contest are also planned. Hole-in-one prizes include a 2012 Hyundai Sonata, sponsored by Franklin Sussex Hyundai, and a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, sponsored by Franklin Sussex Auto Mall.

A highlight of this year’s event will be the presentation of the annual Jack Rizzo Leadership Award, an award honoring those in the community that have given their all to making the lives of their family, friends, and neighbors better. Saint Clare’s Foundation will present this year’s leadership award to Eric Nielson, President of Nielsen Automotive Group, in recognition of his dedication and generosity to the Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing as well as his outstanding support of Saint Clare’s Health System.

“Over the years, the Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of programs, services and projects to benefit the health of the Sussex Community,” said Rizzo Tournament Chair Bill Snouffer, General Manager of Franklin Sussex Automall and Franklin Sussex Hyundai, both located in Sussex, NJ. “I am proud to continue to be part of such a successful and landmark community event, helping to further high-quality medical care to residents of Sussex County and the surrounding areas.”

With support from the Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing, Saint Clare’s has significantly renovated and upgraded the Sussex Emergency Department, which sees more than 10,000 patients annually. In the fall of 2011, Saint Clare’s our new Women’s Health Center, which offers a variety of health services in one easy location, including Full-field Digital Mammography (FFDM) system – the “gold standard” in breast imaging and Bone Density Scanner for diagnosis of osteoporosis and other bone abnormalities. The event on June 13 will continue to support these and other projects so that the Sussex community will continue to have access to vital programs and services.

For this year’s Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing, sponsorship opportunities for the brunch, dinner, beverage stations, golf carts, driving tees and the driving range are available. Corporate sponsorships and individual golfers may participate. Golfer costs cover greens fees and cart, brunch, on-course refreshments, cocktail reception, dinner, on-course contests, awards and a gift.
