Saint Clare’s Annual Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing Scheduled for June 15

June 15 Event Benefits Saint Clare’s Hospital/Sussex, Honors Bill Snouffer with Annual Jack Rizzo Leadership Award

In just a few short weeks, donors, corporate sponsors and supporters of Saint Clare’s Health System and Saint Clare’s Foundation will gather for the 34th annual Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing at Skyview Golf Club in Sparta, NJ, a fun-filled day of golf benefitting Saint Clare’s Hospital/Sussex sponsored by Nielson Automotive Group and Chrysler Financial.

Registration for corporate sponsorships and individual golfer participation is now available online for this all-day event, which will be held on June 15. The day’s activities will feature a registration brunch at 10 a.m., a tournament schamble start at 12 noon with on the course refreshments, a cocktail reception at 5 p.m., and dinner and awards ceremony beginning at 6 p.m. Presentations for men’s and women’s low gross and low net, longest drive, closest to the pin and a putting contest are also planned. Hole-in-one prizes include a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, sponsored by Franklin Sussex Hyundai, and a 2011 Jeep Wrangler, sponsored by Franklin Sussex Auto Mall.

A highlight of this year’s event will be the presentation of the annual Jack Rizzo Leadership Award, an award honoring those in the community that have given their all to making the lives of their family, friends, and neighbors better. Saint Clare’s Foundation will present this year’s leadership award to Bill Snouffer, in recognition of his dedication and generosity to the Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing – which he has served as co-chair of since 1999 – as well as his outstanding support of Saint Clare’s Health System.

“Over the years, the Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of programs, services and projects at Saint Clare’s Hospital/Sussex,” said Snouffer, General Manager of Franklin Sussex Automall and Franklin Sussex Hyundai, both located in Sussex, NJ. “I am proud to continue to be part of such a successful and landmark community event, helping to further high-quality medical care to residents of Sussex County and the surrounding areas.”

The Sussex campus offers a modern Emergency Department, staffed by board-certified physicians and specially trained nurses, as well as same day surgery, cardiac rehabilitation, critical and intensive care, behavioral health services and cancer screenings.  The hospital has also added many beneficial services to the residents of Sussex County over the last years, including digital mammography, the gold-standard in breast imaging; a bone density scanner to help diagnose osteoporosis; and a 16-slice CT scanner, allowing doctors to more easily diagnose illness and injury. Additionally, a satellite of Saint Clare’s Dover-based Women’s Health Center is expected this summer.

For this year’s Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing, sponsorship opportunities for the brunch, dinner, beverage stations, golf carts, driving tees and the driving range are available. Corporate sponsorships and individual golfers may participate. Golfer costs cover greens fees and cart, brunch, on-course refreshments, cocktail reception, dinner, on-course contests, awards and a gift.
