Saint Clare's Behavioral Health Services Wins National Improvement Award

Respected National Customer Satisfaction Firm Recognizes Saint Clare's Largest Division with National Award

MORRIS AND SUSSEX COUNTIES, NJ As further testament to its commitment to provide comprehensive mental health services, Saint Clare's Health System is proud to announce that Saint Clare's Behavioral Health Services (BHS), one of the state's leading providers of comprehensive mental health services, has been awarded a 2006 Compass Award from Press Ganey Associates for its Inpatient Behavioral Health Services. Press Ganey is a nationally recognized company that partners with healthcare facilities to measure the level of customer satisfaction and improve the quality of healthcare delivery.

More than one-third of the nation's inpatient hospitals currently contract with Press Ganey. The company's databases are the largest in the industry, and allow facilities nationwide to benchmark their results against peer organizations. The Compass Award recognizes facilities that show the most improvement over two years in overall patient/resident satisfaction. Behavioral Health Services is just one of only 3 facilities in the Inpatient Behavioral Health category to receive this honor, and one of 44 total facilities across the country receiving awards this year.

"As an organization that is committed to patient satisfaction and quality management, it is gratifying to see that our efforts have resulted in high Press Ganey satisfaction scores," says Jean Zaccone, Vice President of Behavioral Health and Chief Nursing Officer for Saint Clare's Health System. "It is a credit to our staff, clinicians, and support teams for ensuring that those with mental health problems receive the best care and counseling available."

Dr. Melvin F. Hall, President and Chief Executive Officer of Press Ganey noted, "We are proud partners in patient satisfaction with Saint Clare's Behavioral Health Services. Their dedication to continuous improvement serves as a model for all."

Saint Clare's offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for children, adults and families.
