Saint Clare's Mourns Loss of Mary Mulholland
Mary Mulholland, most recently a member of the development staff at Saint Clare’s Foundation, passed away June 6th at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville. Mary was a vital part of the Saint Clare’s family for more than five decades through her many fundraising efforts and her great work with the Saint Clare’s Dover Hospital Auxiliary.
Mary was dedicated to the fight against drug and alcohol abuse prevention and treatment in Morris County, and founded Hope House and the Dope Open. She served on the boards of the United Way and the Governor’s Advisory Council for Drug and Alcohol Abuse, as a trustee of the College of Saint Elizabeth, and as a member of the Saint Clare’s Foundation for more than 30 years.
Mary is survived by her children Patricia, Sean, Kevin, Robert, Moira, and Sheila. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Robert Mulholland, who served as Chief of Anesthesia at Saint Clare’s for 39 years.
Mary’s passing is a huge loss for so many in the community and Saint Clare’s. We extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends and former colleagues.
