Saint Clare’s Robotic Surgery Expertise Showcased in The Bergen Record

Saint Clare’s Health System was featured in the Sunday edition of The Bergen Record, with an article on a patient’s experience undergoing robot-assisted, minimally invasive surgery under the care of Dr. Gregg Zimmerman, Medical Director, Robotic Surgery at Saint Clare’s.
The article, published on February 20, 2011, tells the story of an MRI technician who had been diagnosed with a kidney tumor. While the patient had been told by numerous physicians that he would need his kidney removed entirely, Dr. Zimmerman was able to perform a robot-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, working for hours to remove the tumor while still saving the kidney. In the article, the patient details his experience along with the compassionate care and expertise he received at Saint Clare’s.
