Saint Clare's operates Intensive Care Units (ICU), Critical Care Units (CCU), and intermediate care units at its acute care hospitals, in Denville, Dover, and Sussex, for critically ill or injured patients.

The ICUs at Saint Clare's Hospital combine state-of-the-art monitoring and diagnostic equipment with the compassion and understanding of a specially trained and professional nursing staff. The ICU staff understands the anxiety felt by patients and families when critical care is needed. The CCUs care for those patients who remain seriously ill or injured, but do not require the constant monitoring of an ICU. Our intermediate care units provide care for those patients who have recovered significantly from injuries of illness that were cared for in either the ICU or CCU, but who do not meet the criteria to be cared for in a general acute medical care environment.
