LIFEWORKS Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Rather than pay the ever-rising costs associated with behavioral and performance problems, employers can turn to the LIFEWORKS Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to address productivity issues in the workplace.

LIFEWORKS EAP is a worksite-based program that helps employees identify and resolve personal concerns — substance abuse, health, emotional, legal, marital or family issues — that may affect their job performance. LIFEWORKS also provides critical services to employers, such as consultation on workplace productivity issues and training supervisors to recognize changes in employee behavior that may signal underlying personal concerns. Studies by independent researchers, as well as by employers, have consistently confirmed the cost-effectiveness and demonstrated success of EAPs.

LIFEWORKS EAP offers a broad range of services, including management consultations, manager and supervisor training, workplace violence training and intervention, critical incident stress debriefings/management, contingency planning and response, confidential assessment, brief counseling and/or referral services, health and wellness seminars, substance abuse, body image counseling, anger management and conflict resolution.

In addition to EAP services, employers have the option of adding a legal and financial program for their employees. The benefits of this program include a 30-minute consultation with an attorney, CPA or mediator per legal or financial matter, at no cost. If the employee wishes to retain the attorney after the initial consultation, they enjoy a preferred hourly rate reduction of 25 percent. Employees also have unlimited access to a Web site with information on more than 1,000 legal and financial topics and over 1,200 legal and financial forms for their use. Specific limitations and exclusions do apply.
