The Women's Health Center is setting new standards in screening, diagnosis and treatment in the areas of breast health, osteoporosis and complementary medicine therapies.
Within northwestern New Jersey, there is an extraordinary backlog for screening tests at local hospitals and testing centers. The Center is committed to scheduling screening and diagnostic exams as soon as possible, thus avoiding the customary delays. Early diagnosis is key to survival. Women need and deserve a health center where important tests are performed quickly in one convenient location, with results available the next day.
The Women's Health Center accepts donations. Your support will allow the Center to continue its development, adding the latest equipment and services. Financial contributions from friends and supporters in the community are welcome.
The project is underwritten by Saint Clare's Hospital, with major funding from the Robert and Joan M. Dircks Endowment and the Auxiliary of Saint Clare's Hospital/Dover.
Each September, Saint Clare's holds its annual Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness. Proceeds from this event, held just prior to Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, support The Women's Health Center. To date, the event has raised over $275,000 through the support of regional corporations and the time, dedication, and participation of hundreds of walkers and a faithful group of volunteers.
