The Women's Health Center employs highly qualified physicians, nurses, therapists, technicians and other professionals experienced in women's healthcare. The Center is administered by hospital managers, in conjunction with a Physician Steering Committee, and with support from a Community Advisory Committee. Our staff is responsive, compassionate and highly trained, and is also bilingual for easy communication with Spanish-speaking patients.

Leading patient treatment is the Breast Surgery Panel, a group of eight of the area's top surgeons, each with significant expertise pertaining to breast health. The value of the panel to our patients, and to the community at large, lies in the collective experience and expertise of its members.

William L. Diehl, M.D., medical director of The Women's Health Center at Saint Clare's Hospital/Dover General, is a respected surgical oncologist specializing in the areas of breast surgery and breast cancer. He has been in practice at Morristown Memorial Hospital since 1988. Dr. Diehl was born and raised in Mexico City and is fluent in Spanish and English. After completing his General Surgery training, he continued his studies and training at the prestigious Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City where he specialized in Breast Cancer and Surgical Oncology.

He is Board Certified and a member of the American College of Surgeons and The Society of Breast Surgeons. As Medical Director of the Women's Health Center, Dr. Diehl is responsible for his own patients, as well as coordinating the development of the multidisciplinary breast cancer program and the Breast Surgery Panel.
