Women's Health Center Funding Sources
The Women's Health Centers are setting new standards in screening, diagnosis and treatment in the areas of breast health, osteoporosis and complementary medicine therapies.
Within northwestern New Jersey, there is an extraordinary backlog for screening tests at local hospitals and testing centers. The Center are committed to scheduling screening and diagnostic exams as soon as possible, thus avoiding the customary delays. Early diagnosis is key to survival. Women need and deserve health centers where important tests are performed quickly in one convenient location, with results available the next day.
The Women's Health Centers accepts donations. Your support will allow the Center to continue its development, adding the latest equipment and services. Financial contributions from friends and supporters in the community are welcome.
The project is underwritten by Saint Clare's Hospital, with major funding from the Robert and Joan M. Dircks Endowment and the Auxiliary of Saint Clare's Hospital/Dover.
Each September, Saint Clare's holds its annual Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness. Proceeds from this event, held just prior to Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, support Cancer Care programs and services at Saint Clare’s Health System. To date, the event has raised over $769,000 gross through the support of regional corporations and the time, dedication, and participation of thousands of walkers and a faithful group of volunteers. Proceeds from the Walk have funded much-needed medical technology to support the health system’s effort to diagnosis and treat breast cancer, including funding the purchase of a stereotactic table and ultrasound machine at the Women’s Health Center, a breast module for TomoTherapy at Cancer Care at Saint Clare’s, and a second ultrasound machine for Saint Clare’s Imaging Center at Parsippany Commons.
